Work made for one wall
For a specific room, at a specific scale, in an edition of one. Commissions are limited to six a year.
01Conversation
We talk about the room — its light, its hours, what it is used for. No brief is written until we have seen photographs of the wall at three different times of day.
02Site study
For projects in Bali we visit. Elsewhere we work from measured photographs and a light reading. This stage produces a scale drawing, not an image.
03Proposal
Two directions, each with an indicative scale, material and price. One is chosen. A 50% deposit begins the work.
04Making
Between four and ten weeks depending on scale. You see the work twice during this period, and can stop it once.
05Installation
Delivered crated and installed by us in Bali, or by a nominated installer elsewhere. The piece is registered as an edition of one.
What a commission costs
Final price depends on scale, material and installation. These bands are a starting point, not a quotation.
